Nick Murray has nearly a decade of experience in politics, corporate communications, and business development and a reputation for developing, implementing and managing high-profile public policy campaigns. Over his career, Murray has worked with trade associations and corporate clients to implement their public policy agendas in South Carolina and across the nation.

After interning with Burr Forman & McNair Law Firm’s Government Affairs division as a Legislative Assistant, Murray was recruited to work with national digital political consulting firm Push Digital in Charleston, South Carolina, where he led business development efforts and worked with the firm’s issue advocacy team to implement public policy campaigns in targeted states and local governments.

His major wins include the execution of a digital grassroots campaign that ultimately assisted with the passage of legislation in Louisiana to fund $690M of infrastructure improvements across the state and the successful implementation of an award-winning digital grassroots initiative that resulted in $4.5M in recurring funding for transportation services in Greenville County, South Carolina.

Following his tenure at Push Digital, Murray worked at Chernoff Newman, one of South Carolina’s leading issues management firms, as counsel to many of South Carolina’s most high-profile organizations on their communications and policy initiatives. His clients included the South Carolina Ports Authority, the Medical University of South Carolina, the American Council of Engineering Companies of South Carolina, Westinghouse Electric Corporation and Southwest Water Company. Murray also served as a chief media strategist for the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce’s campaign to support a successful county-wide ballot referendum in 2020.

Murray originally joined the First Tuesday Strategies team as Director of Business Development. Based in Charleston, S.C., Murray leads the organization’s efforts to build and maintain relationships with prospective clients while also providing strategic counsel for the firm’s campaign, corporate, and public affairs clients.

Murray is an avid outdoorsman and frequent volunteer with several Lowcountry conservation groups. A product of South Carolina’s public school system, Murray is a graduate from the University of South Carolina’s Darla Moore School of Business with a degree in Business Administration.
